Ensuring NDIS
Compliance
At Best Care Services, compliance is not just a requirement, it is the foundation of everything we do. As a trusted, registered NDIS provider, we are committed to the highest standards of care, safety, and accountability. We work proactively to meet and exceed the NDIS Practice Standards and the requirements of the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission.
Why NDIS Compliance Matters
The NDIS framework exists to protect participants and ensure they receive safe, high-quality, and person-centred supports. For providers, maintaining regulatory compliance means operating with transparency, continuous improvement, and a genuine focus on participant outcomes. At Best Care Services, we view compliance as an ongoing commitment to excellence rather than a box-ticking exercise.
How Best Care Services Ensures Compliance
We have built a robust compliance ecosystem designed to embed quality and safety into every aspect of our operations. Our approach includes:
1. Strong Governance and Leadership
Our senior leadership team takes direct responsibility for compliance outcomes. We maintain clear policies, procedures, and accountability frameworks that align with the NDIS Code of Conduct and Practice Standards. All staff receive regular training on their obligations, and we foster a culture where compliance is everyone’s responsibility.
2. Comprehensive Policies and Procedures
We maintain up-to-date policies covering incident management, complaints handling, risk management, privacy, safeguarding, and positive behaviour support. These documents are regularly reviewed and improved based on feedback, audit findings, and changes in legislation.
3. Staff Training and Competency
Every team member completes mandatory NDIS training, including modules on the NDIS Code of Conduct, human rights, and recognising and reporting abuse or neglect. We also provide role-specific training and ongoing professional development to ensure our supports remain person-centred and trauma-informed.
4. Robust Risk Management
We conduct thorough risk assessments for each participant and regularly review organisational risks. Our incident reporting system ensures all incidents are documented, investigated, and used as opportunities for improvement. Corrective actions are implemented promptly and monitored for effectiveness.
5. Internal Audits and Continuous Monitoring
We perform regular internal audits across all service areas. These proactive checks help us identify potential gaps before they become issues. We also track key performance indicators related to compliance and participant satisfaction.
6. Technology and Systems
Best Care Services uses modern compliance management tools that support documentation, audit trails, and real-time monitoring. This allows us to maintain accurate records and respond quickly to any regulatory requests.
Introducing Annie – Our Compliance Manager
A key driver behind our strong compliance culture is Annie, our dedicated Compliance Manager.
Annie is a highly accomplished risk, compliance, and internal/external audit professional with more than 20 years of extensive experience across Australia, Hong Kong, and Greater China. Her career has encompassed senior roles in multinational listed companies, local government councils, and prestigious consulting at Deloitte, where she has consistently delivered robust governance, risk management, and assurance solutions in complex regulatory environments. Annie holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of New South Wales (UNSW), is a member of CPA Australia, and has achieved Fellow status (FCPA) with the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants (HKICPA). Beyond her professional achievements, she is deeply committed to community volunteering, actively contributing her time and expertise to various initiatives that support and strengthen local communities.
Annie leads our compliance program with passion and precision. Her responsibilities include overseeing policy development, coordinating internal and external audits, delivering staff training, and ensuring Best Care Services remains aligned with the latest NDIS requirements. She works closely with our support teams, management, and participants’ families to maintain the delicate balance between high-quality care and regulatory excellence.
Under Annie’s leadership, we have achieved consistent positive audit outcomes and developed a reputation for transparency and responsiveness with the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission. Her collaborative approach ensures that compliance becomes a practical, lived part of our daily operations rather than a separate administrative burden.

Continuous Improvement
Compliance at Best Care Services is never static. We actively seek feedback from participants, families, and staff. We review our systems after every audit, incident, or legislative change, and we are always looking for ways to raise the bar on quality and safety.
